Oak Haven Belgians was established in 1992 by Dr. Michael Stone. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 from Ohio State University and in 1992 opened Oak Harbor Veterinary Hospital.

 

His farm is located in Fremont, Ohio. Dr. Stone has an extensive breeding program for Belgians where they also train and enter their horses into hitch and cart competitions across the country. Through selective breading and training, his horses are recognized as being one of the top Belgian breeders in the country!

 

Get up close and personal with these majestic and gentle giants, with a group experience at Oak Haven Belgians. See how Dr. Stone and his staff  breed, care for and train these amazing animals. You will also gaze over beautiful pastures and on many occasions, meet the newest foals as they learn from their mothers and the Oak Haven team how to be an award winning show horse.  

 

This experience is part of the Farm Fresh Agritourism offerings in Sandusky County and can be combined with other similar Ag related experiences or with non-Ag traditional experiences such as a visit to one of our museums.
